The first day of Assembly did not go down too well for the Speaker Ranjit Das. As the party members assembled, opinions started to differ concerning the auction of oil fields and some other issues including hike in VAT and as the situation went out of control, Das had to adjourn the House for few minutes.

The auction of oil fields caused the tension. The ruling party did not want the opposition to influence the Speaker and tried their best to suppress their voice. On the other hand opposition leaders kept on shouting. Allegedly, some ministers went charging at the Speaker due to which adjournment had to take place.

The budget session did not run smoothly today. The ruling and opposition party blamed each other for destroying decorum of the House.

Reportedly the timing of assembly is changed too and will be delayed by half an hour in the morning as staffs seem to have a problem completing household chores and make it in time.
